BONUS POST!

Unlike my life in the working world, in school we observe minor holidays with gusto...so no class today. (Don't get too excited, we are making up for it with a full day of classes on Friday). So nothing new today, but I will fill you in on my goodies from last week.

Also, a bunch of my dedicated readers have asked if you can share the blog with other people... the answer is: OF COURSE! (I mean... it is on the Internet, after all). If you are reading this blog for the first time, Hello! I'm working on an "About Me" for those of you that haven't been following from the beginning...stay tuned.
Anyway, here's a shot from the end of my pies and tarts class. This platter has cherry clafoutis and Swiss apple flan. Clafoutis is pronounces "clah-foo-teeee". A not insignificant portion of my class chanted"Clafoutis in the booty" for the entire six hours.

Here's a plate of the "American Style" cookies that we made on the first day of class. I ate... too many. You can see, clockwise from six o'clock: chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter, molasses, and (my favorite!) white chocolate macadamia. There are butter cookies in the center.

And here are half of the biscotti that I talked about in the last post!! (Not my hand. You may be able to tell by the lack of freckles). We made macadamia nut biscotti and tomorrow we're going to dip the edge of them in white chocolate.

And finally, those of you that saw me this weekend might have enjoyed on of these babies - brown butter pumpkin cupcakes with maple pecan frosting. YUM.
