Here are a few other things that happened before 7 am:
- 4:38 am: I woke up last night in a cold sweat after a nightmare that I got a 74 on my pie test. (Flash forward, this was not the case. I got a 105.)
- 5:40 am: I woke up for real and was hit by an overwhelming disgust for pie. I didn't want to think about it, I didn't want to make it, and I certainly didn't want to eat it. Luckily, this class is almost over and I'll be able to take a pie break until Thanksgiving.
- 5:55 am: I realized I had no clean aprons or chef jackets. Creative tide-penning ensued.
- 6:38 am: While sprinting out the door, doused in tide, I saw another JWU student running down the hall! I wanted to yell out "WHO ARE YOU!? LET'S CARPOOL! HOW ON EARTH DO YOU AFFORD THIS APARTMENT????" Luckily, I realized in the nick of time that this was pretty creepy and kept my mouth shut.
- 6:55 am: Our teacher announced that we could go up to the Mixology class at 9am because it was International Cocktail Day! (Don't worry, they use colored water instead of booze). I later indulged in a "Sexy Passion Lemonade" and decided that its creator should get an F for dropping 25 lemon seeds in my 4 oz drink.
As mentioned above, I'm over talking about pies. Instead I will just show you some photos of the tarts that we made.
Ug- I can't imagine how awful oatmeal would be with pumpkin pie spice -
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you complain about waking up at 5:45. I am at least three diet cokes in by then
ReplyDeleteOatmeal with pumpkin pie spice is delicious. Especially if you put in a scoop of pumpkin.
ReplyDeleteAnd Pete, I wake up at 5:40. That extra five minutes would make all the difference.
